Millis Regional Health Education Center sees 50,000th Child
This week marks a milestone for the Millis Regional Health Education Center at High Point Regional Health System with the 50,000th child coming to the center for health education.
The Center will celebrate on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. with a group of 2nd grade students from Fairview Elementary School in High Point. They’ll be attending the center on scholarships through proceeds of the health system’s Annual Fun Run. The programs also receive funding from High Point Regional’s Endowment Fund.
One child in this group will be the 50,000th child educated here at the Millis Center. All of the children will be taking part in a Food, Fitness & Fun program.
The Millis Regional Health Education Center was opened in January, 1998, and provides health education programs scheduled for school children in groups from throughout the Triad as well as individual visits by appointment.
