HPRHS Earns Honors from Advance for Nurses
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA, Merion Publications, Inc. — ADVANCE for Nurses newsmagazine announced High Point Regional Health System, High Point, NC, is one of the select “top hospitals” in the magazine’s first Readers’ Choice survey for the Southeastern States, covering North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and metro areas of Alabama and Tennessee.
Voting was open to RNs who ranked a selected hospital in areas that matter to nurses: quality of care, organizational culture, professional development, communication and retention efforts. High Point Regional ranked highly in quality of care, organizational culture and communication.
“We’ve long known that we have an superior staff of Magnet nurses at our hospital, but it’s a wonderful honor to have them give high marks to our efforts to support them in their careers,” said Tammi Mengel, RN, VP and Chief Nursing Officer at High Point Regional.
Nurses from across the Southeastern States region voted in the unscientific online poll, which was available on the ADVANCE for Nurses Web site from March through July. The Readers’ Choice results will be featured in the Oct. 22, 2007 issue.
ADVANCE for Nurses, reaching RNs in 10 regional areas, is a biweekly magazine, presenting articles and features for registered nurses of all specialties.
