High Point Regional to Break Ground in Kernersville
High Point Regional Health System will soon bring additional choices for healthcare to Kernersville with a groundbreaking for a new building at 861 Old Winston Road.
The building, still a work in transition, will include 20,000 square feet of medical offices and a 55,000 square foot fitness center, and is expected to be completed sometime in the spring of 2006.
The short ceremony on the 31st will take place at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Kernersville Mayor Curtis Swisher, the Chamber of Commerce’s Bruce Boyer, High Point Regional CEO Jeffrey S. Miller, and the health system’s board chair, Jim Morgan.
The 7.70 acres of property was purchased for over one million dollars. Cost of construction is still to be determined.
