High Point Regional Offers Non-Traditional Gift Ideas
Are you still looking for that special gift for the person who has everything? Just in time for the holidays, the Development Department at High Point Regional Health System has launched, Healthy Giving.
“Healthy Giving allows you to honor a family member, friend or loved one with gifts that will help High Point Regional continue to provide exceptional care,” said Denise Potter, executive director of development. “Is there a better gift than one that truly keeps on giving?”
The hospital has created a catalog full of unique gift ideas, which fits any budget. For example, at High Point Regional’s Emergency Room, all patients receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay. When many patients leave the hospital, they are unable to continue their care by filling prescriptions. Your gift to the Ginger Mitchell Fund helps patients purchase life-saving prescription medications such as antibiotics, insulin and blood pressure medication until he or she can secure care through other community resources.
Is that someone special on your shopping list a cancer survivor? If so, your gift to the Mammogram Fund could save a life since this gift assures that a woman who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford it, will have a screening mammogram.
Another non-traditional gift idea would be to Pastoral Care, which is an integral part of High Point Regional’s health care team. Among other things, gifts to Pastoral Care help the hospital provide crisis intervention for Emergency Department and critical care issues.
When you purchase a gift for that special loved one, High Point Regional will send a gift card to the person or family of the person being honored and no gift amount will be mentioned.
