32nd Bud Kivett Golf Championship Scheduled
High Point Regional Health System and presenting sponsor, FTI, a healthcare consulting firm, are making plans for the Annual Bud Kivett Golf Championship to be held this year on April 26 & 27.
The event provides scholarships for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation through the Heart Strides program at High Point Regional. Nearly 100 scholarships are given each year through funds provided by special events such as the Kivett.
Named for the 5-time winner of the former City Tournament, the Bud Kivett Memorial City Golf Championship is held at Blair Park and Oak Hollow Golf Courses. The 36-hole stroke play event is open to amateurs 16 years of age and older and is open to the first 216 golfers who enter.
The Bank of North Carolina sponsors the Triad Inter-Club Challenge, held April 25, offering golf clubs throughout the area an opportunity to send their best golfers to the tournament and earn the Challenge Cup. Past winners of the Challenge Cup have been Colonial Country Club, Jamestown Golf Course and Oak Hollow Golf Course.
This year’s entry fee for the tournament remains at $30. Entry deadline is April 18th. For information and registration, call 878-6293 or go to www.budkivettgolf.com.
