High
Point Behavioral Health Addiction Services
Continuum
of Care
Patients who want to recover from an addiction need a treatment
program that works. High Point Behavioral Health views addiction
seriously–as a progressive, chronic illness that can
be fatal if not treated. Patient recovery begins with medically
supervised drug and/or alcohol cessation accompanied by a
comprehensive treatment plan that emphasizes relapse prevention
and aftercare planning.
For those with specific addiction problems, High Point Behavioral
Health offers outpatient programs that provide intensive counseling
and group therapy. The Assessment Center counselors will assist
in determining the appropriate level of care for each patient
based on clinical needs.
Our doctors and nurses place significant emphasis on helping
patients learn to identify relapse triggers and develop strategies
to cope with their addiction. Treatment plans that address
the relapse process including changes in behaviors that caused
the relapse and teaching new coping skills can help the patient
to establish a solid recovery foundation.
Recovery and Renewal
The Recovery and Renewal Program is available for those who
are not in need of medical detoxification. The small group
setting meets three times per week and offers group therapy,
education, random urine drug screening and individual treatment
planning.
