Dietary Requirements

Diet after surgery is a vital consideration so we have specially trained nutritionists who understand the challenges bariatric surgery patients will face and stand ready to help at your moment of need.

Please refer to the mini gastric bypass manual for specific information. In general, for the first 14 days, it will be important to take in liquids high in salt content such as chicken, beef and vegetable broths. You may also have Gatorade, V8 Juice and tomato juices, popsicles, yogurt and saltine crackers.

As you advance to the next stage in your diet, stage two, please refer to the diet listed in your patient manual. It is important to eat foods listed for this stage as you can tolerate them.
