Surgery has a key role in diagnosing and treating cancer. In many cases, minimally invasive operations can be done to remove tumors and save as much normal tissue and function as possible. Hayworth Cancer Center’s surgical oncology program consists of highly skilled, fellowship-trained surgical oncologists. Surgeries are performed in the operating rooms at High Point Regional and the Surgery Center at High Point Regional. Patients requiring overnight stays may receive their care on the Oncology Care Unit at the Hayworth Cancer Center. Our surgeons have earned top patient satisfaction and quality awards from national health care organizations.
