Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Open MRI
MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a powerful innovation in diagnostic imaging. Its special qualities enable a trained radiologist to see the inner workings of the human body. MRI scans offer extraordinary detail, speedy diagnosis and are safe and painless. High Point Regional is proud to offer both the traditional and short bore MRI as well as an open MRI scanner as well. The Open MRI is especially convenient for larger patients or patients who are claustrophobic.
MRI scans are conducted only with a doctor's order, so if your doctor tells you that you need an MRI, remember to ask for your appointment to be made at High Point Regional for convenience and flexibility you will not find elsewhere.
