Emergency Services
Each year, more than 50,000 patients are treated in the
Emergency Center at High Point Regional Health System. No
one who needs care is turned away. To help support this
very important service, please consider a gift to the Emergency
Center.
- Gifts may be made to provide the
most up-to-date equipment to insure the ability to care
for all types of emergency needs.
- Gifts may be made to honor a nurse,
physician, caregiver or friend. Gifts may be made
to the
Emergency Center Education Fund to assist with professional
education for physicians, nurses or technicians.
- Gifts may be made to the Transportation
Fund, which provides indigent patients with transportation
home after receiving care.
- Gifts may be made to the Personal
Care Items Fund, which provides patients of the Triad
area in need with
personal care items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.
- Gifts may be made to the Ginger
Mitchell Fund. The Fund assists with the purchase of medication
and other necessary items for financially needy patients.

Honorary
& Memorial Gifts
Gifts to the Endowment Fund are a great
way to acknowledge:
- Birthdays
- New babies
- Loved ones
- Deaths
- Caregivers, nurses or physicians
- Co-workers
Gift card acknowledgements are sent to notify
those you designate. No specific amount is required. All
gifts are tax-deductible. Any gift may be made in honor
of or in memory of someone.
Your gift will serve the dual purpose of honoring someone
special and of providing essential health care to those
in
need. It’s a thoughtful gift, and one that can make
a real difference in someone’s life.

Nursing
Education
High Point Regional is proud to be one of about 100 hospitals
in the United States to receive the prestigious Magnet Status.
Magnet Status is awarded by a branch of the American Nurses'
Association, and is given to hospitals that demonstrate
extraordinary nursing skills.
The Nursing Education Fund is used to promote ongoing education
of the Health System's nursing staff. The fund supports
nurses in specialty exams and underwrites expenses of those
exams. The Scholarship Fund makes it possible to bring educational
programs on campus for the nursing staff. Patients, and
their families, as well as our nurses, benefit from the
fund as we continue to promote nursing excellence at High
Point Regional Health System.
Gifts may be made to:
- provide education scholarships for
people who want to become nurses and who agree to employment
with High Point Regional Health System.
- to the Nursing Continuing Education
Fund to provide career assistance for nurses who want
to pursue advanced degrees/certifications.

Capital Gifts
The most up-to-date technology
and equipment is vital to quality patient care. Your capital
gifts will enable the High Point Regional Health System's
staff to provide the best care possible.
Donations to the Building Fund may be made at any time and
can be designated to the building or department expansion
of your choice.

Millis Regional Health Education Center
The Millis Regional Health Education Center helps children
learn about the human body and how to keep themselves healthy
through a hands-on approach to learning about good health.
Your gift can help give children in our community a head
start toward a lifetime of good health and wellness.
Gifts may be made to:
- the scholarship fund to sponsor
a class or school visit for health education classes.
- the scholarship fund to sponsor
an exhibit or equipment to help educate and "edu-tain" children.

Behavioral Health Center
The Behavioral Health Center
provides behavioral health assessments, inpatient and outpatient
treatment programs for chemical dependency and psychiatric
conditions. The Center provides stable and reliable support
to people in the community when emotional crises arise.
There is no need to feel alone during difficult times.
A gift to High Point Regional's Behavioral Health Center
will support the many services offered to clients in need.
Among
these
services
are crisis intervention, counseling, therapeutic activity
programs, life skills training and referral to other community
support agencies.
Gifts may be made to:
- Honor a caregiver or
loved one or be given in memory of someone.
- The Supply
Fund for Craft Activities.
- The Education
Fund for professional staff.

Diabetes
Self-Care Management Center Fund
Over 18 million people in the
United States have diabetes—over 389,000 of them live
in North Carolina. If left untreated, complications arising
from this chronic illness can include such catastrophic
losses as limb amputation, blindness and end-stage kidney
disease.
The Diabetes Self-Care Management Center Fund provides assistance
for people in need who suffer from diabetes—to give
them a better quality of life and prevent serious diabetes-related
damage.
Gifts to the Center may be made to help patients purchase
medicine, equipment and education. All gifts are tax-deductible
and can be made in honor or memory of someone special.
