What
it's Like to Work at High Point Regional Hospital
High Point Regional Health System traces
its roots all the way back to 1904 with the opening of a
hospital in High Point to treat typhoid fever. In the century
since our opening we have continued to dedicate ourselves
to the health care of our community. This has been a successful
formula and we attribute that success to our people.
We offer an environment that's as nurturing
as it is dynamic. When asked to describe High Point Regional,
employees describe a friendly, professional and caring atmosphere.
With our team-oriented approach and the ample opportunities
we provide for learning and career growth, we know you'll
find that High Point Regional offers the ideal atmosphere
where you can use your best skills.
One way we show commitment to our employees
is by making sure we listen to employee concerns. Employee
input is a most valuable resource, and we use it constantly.
We also believe that the learning process
is vital for our employees' professional and personal growth.
We encourage employees to exercise their ambitions and constantly
improve their skills.
At High Point Regional our commitment to
the highest quality healthcare for our patients is matched
only by our commitment to providing our employees with an
outstanding work environment.
All High Point Regional Health System campuses are tobacco
free. Use of any type of tobacco product by patients, visitors
and employees is prohibited both inside and outside of the
hospital facilities.
Ever Seen a Purple Cow?
Through Target Excellence, the customer service program
at High Point Regional, the highest employee recognition
is a "Purple Cow" Award. And just what is a Purple
Cow? Based on the book by the same name, author Seth Godin,
defined Purple Cows as those people or businesses that do
something "remarkable, phenomenal and flat-out unbelievable"
to exceed customers' expectations. High Point Regional Health
System employees that go beyond their job descriptions,
demonstrate selfless acts, accept inconveniences and persist
to meet a perceived customer need will be recognized as
Purple Cows.
