American Cancer Society Road to Recovery
11/23/2009

WHAT:
The road to recovering from cancer can be long and difficult, which is why The American Cancer Society is looking for compassionate volunteers. The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people who have cancer and do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

Volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their cars so patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need. Interested volunteers will receive training and ultimately help patients who are undergoing cancer treatment at the Charles E. and Pauline Lewis Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Regional Health System.

Registration is required.

WHEN:
Wednesday, December 9 from 10 – 11 a.m.

WHERE:
High Point Regional Cancer Center
Cancer Resource Center Conference Room
302 Westwood Ave.
High Point, N.C. 27262

WHO:
Nicole Witten, Mission Delivery Manager of the American Cancer Society, (336) 336-834-0844 or nicole.witten@cancer.org
