WHAT:
The Fitness Center at High Point Regional is spearheading a health promotion campaign, “Get Healthy High Point,” a city-wide effort emphasizing weight management. Embracing the preventative medicine model, “Get Healthy High Point” will provide the catalyst to help people begin to choose and/or reinforce those healthy lifestyle choices necessary for a better quality of life.

Everyone will thrive off this unified effort as the city begins its quest to become one of the healthiest cities in the universe. During the first challenge, more than 223 pounds were lost.

The next weight loss challenge, “The Summer Slimdown,” will begin June 21. The kick-off, challenge and workshops for the community are all free.
