May 6th: The scale is stuck!
Someone who has lost 35 pounds in 6 weeks has no right to complain. Yes, I DO know that, but in the last two weeks, I've only lost 3 pounds and keep finding one of those and losing it again. I float now around 214 to 215.5. Clothes are getting looser, but with summer coming, I really hoped to be down to 200 by the end of May. Probably hoping for too much. I can't remember when I weighed less than 200, so to me, that's when the weight loss will really show.
I know if I go to the MGB forums about this, I'll get lots of answers from people who tell me these plateaus are pretty normal. It was just so cool to get on the scale every morning and see the numbers go down. I'm spoiled.
This weekend, I'll spend some time on the treadmill and burn up some of the few calories I take in. Dr Walsh told us at one of the clinics that if we want to lose more, we have to eat more, but that's hard to do. I never thought I'd hear anyone telling me to eat more, but I guess I may have to. With that in mind, I'll go into the kitchen and whip up a vanilla protein smoothie with orange Crystal Light. A creamsicle!
