TeenFITT, a fitness program designed for teenagers between the ages of 12-16, is taking registrations for the next class. The emphasis for this next group of classes is weight management. The 8 week program starts on September 18 and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday night from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
Designed for teens who are physically inactive and who have weight problem, the program includes cardio exercise, strength training and a stretching component, all under the supervision of an exercise physiologist. Educational sessions are also a major part of this program. These sessions will be taught by an exercise physiologist and registered dietician.
To register for TeenFITT, please come by the Fitness Center in the Carolina Regional Heart Center at High Point Regional Health System and fill out a permission slip and health screen. Cost of the entire program is $120 per person. Registration is limited to 12 teens, will be on a first come basis and is open to the public.
