Student Volunteer Wins $25,000 Then Gives Back To High Point Regional Health System

WHAT:
Michael Williford’s student volunteer work at the Charles E. and Pauline Lewis Hayworth Cancer Center at High Point Regional Health System resulted in him winning $25,000 and now he’s donating a piano to High Point Regional.
Williford was a student volunteer with the Cancer Center his junior and senior years of high school and started the SOS Prescription Assistance Program to help patients get their medications from pharmaceutical indigent programs. His involvement at High Point Regional got him to the finals of the “Live Your Life” contest sponsored by American Eagle recognizing kids who make a difference.
As a result, Williford is donating a Yamaha Clavinova piano to the Cancer Center.
