Puttin’ on the Grits: Great Breakfast for Community Clinic
11/17/2006
A yummy way to start a Saturday of holiday shopping or just eating some very good food is happening on Dec. 2, 2006, and it’s for a wonderful cause.
Restaurants and caterers that are among the best in High Point are donating their prize grits dishes for a morning of fine breakfast dining to benefit the Community Clinic of High Point. The Clinic provides health care for those in our community who are medically in need.
Food will be available from 7 am to 12 noon at the Millis Regional Health Education Center, and the cost is only $5 per person. Children under 10 eat free!
Just one item on the menu, from Real Creations, is Hot Gouda Cheese Grits with chives and other seasonings served with hickory smoked bacon strips for dipping!
Food contributors include M.Stephen’s, Southern Roots, High Point Country Club, Blue Water Grill, J&S Cafeteria, Tom’s Place, The Silver Fox, String & Splinter Club, Pomodoro, Real Creations and J. Basul Noble’s.
Checks should be made payable to HPRHS/Puttin’ on the Grits. For more information, contact Julie Samuels at 878-6292.
