Pediatric Rehab Clinic Opens
2/22/2002
Thanks to a Duke Endowment grant of over $182,000, a new Pediatric Rehab facility is open for business at High Point Regional Health System.
The new location, on the lower level of the Millis Regional Health Education Center, houses all of the pediatric rehab treatment programs in one area, and has been designed with children in mind.
Therapists trained to treat children, from infancy to late teens, in physical, occupational and speech therapies, are able to work with patients in a colorful child-friendly atmosphere. The new space allows the therapists and children to work together in a specialized environment, and new equipment ensures that the child’s appropriate physical and learning needs are met.
The facility includes a comfortable waiting room for parents and siblings that is isolated from adult patient areas, and all registration, appointment scheduling, and other related services are in the same location.
