Need A Summer Slim Down?
6/10/2010
WHAT:
The Fitness Center at High Point Regional Health System is again spearheading the health promotion campaign, “Get Healthy High Point,” a free city-wide effort emphasizing weight management. In its second year, this 12 week program embraces the preventative medicine model which provides the catalyst to help people begin to choose and or reinforce those healthy lifestyle choices necessary for a better quality of life. The “Summer Slim Down” challenge begins June 21 and runs through September 6.
All weigh-ins will be conducted at the Fitness Center. This year’s challenge includes a Get Healthy High Point T-shirt for those individuals who make a commitment of at least 20 minutes of physical activity five days each week and eat at least one fruit or vegetable each day of the week. Shirts will be awarded during the post weigh-in at the end of the challenge in September.
