High Point Medical Center to Host Grief Support Group
High Point Medical Center will begin hosting a Grief support group in the Hayworth Cancer Center in the coming months. While grief is a natural process following a loss, information and support can help people cope and heal.
“Grief is a complex process filled with many emotions and challenges,” said Janice Wakefield, Oncology CARE Team Chaplain. “This support group will provide grieving individuals with a connection to others who are coping with the loss of a loved one. Through our sessions, we will build connections, provide support, and learn about the grief process”
This support group is open to families of Hayworth Cancer Center patients and members of the community at large who have experienced the death of a loved one. The group will meet for a series of seven sessions. New members will be accepted at the beginning of each series. Space is limited. Please call Janice Wakefield at 336-802-2704 for more information and to register for this group.
