High Point Medical Center Presents It Is All In The Rhythm!

9/10/2016

High Point, NC — A good, steady rhythm does more than make you tap your toes, swing your partner and do-si-do, it can literally mean life or death. Of course we are not speaking of drum beats or bass notes, rather, we are referring to the beat of your heart.

Millions of Americans, 2.7 to 6 million according to the American Heart Association, are living with atrial fibrillation (AFIB). AFIB is a quivering or irregular heartbeat that can have very serious consequences, such as stroke, blood clots, dementia and heart failure. While two-thirds of people with AFIB have symptoms that they can point to, the other one-third does not. There is no better time to learn about the risk, symptoms and treatment of AFIB than during September, AFIB awareness month.

Join Dr. David Fitzgerald, Dr. Zan Tyson and Dr. Ali Akbary with High Point Medical Center Carolina Cardiology for a discussion on atrial fibrillation, symptoms and treatments.

Date:   Thursday, September 15, 2016
Time:  11:30 a.m.

Location:         Millis Regional Health Education Center
600 N. Elm Street, High Point

To reserve your seat, call the Contact Center at (336) 878-6888.
