High Point Medical Center Hosts Nursing Class of 1963
High Point, N.C. - On Saturday, September 14, 15 members of the 1963 Class of the High Point Hospital School of Nursing and one faculty member joined together for a 50th class reunion at High Point Medical Center. Their graduation on September 1, 1963, marked the school's 51st anniversary and was one of the final years of the nursing program.
At the reunion, the alumnae were greeted and welcomed with a banner and cake. The Class of 1963 toured High Point Medical Center before joining together for a luncheon and special reunion celebration where they reminisced and discussed how health care and nursing had changed over the years.
Four members of the class who have passed away were memorialized during the reunion. They are: Sue Black, Carolyn Butler, Verna Dobbins and Carolyn McMillan.
