High Point Regional Health System Names Executive Director of Development
High Point Regional Health System has named Denise Potter as the hospital’s new Executive Director of Development.
“Denise is an accomplished development professional,” said Jeff Miller, President, High Point Regional. “She understands the importance of giving and is passionate about wanting to make a difference.”
Potter has nearly 20 years of health care management experience. Prior to joining High Point, she served as Vice President at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio where she led the Foundation, Public Relations and Community Relations programs for a 700 licensed bed tertiary hospital with more than 5,000 employees.
Prior to joining University Hospital, she was the Vice President at Community Mercy Health Partners in Springfield, Ohio where she led the Foundation, Public Relations and Volunteer Services departments for the health system.
Potter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wright State University where she later received the Outstanding Achievement Alumni Award from the school. She has completed additional studies in philanthropy at the University of Chicago, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Center of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
As High Point Regional’s Executive Director of Development, Potter will oversee all fund development programs for the entire health system.
Potter and husband Stephen, have two sons Brock, in Tucson, Ariz., and Grant, a freshman and member of the soccer team at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C.
