2/11/2012
On Thursday, February 9, 2012 the Department of Health and Human Services surveyors completed their survey at High Point Regional Health System and lifted the hospital’s Immediate Jeopardy status. The surveyors focused on High Point Regional's process for assessing and treating suicidal patients in the Emergency Department.
“The surveyors were very impressed with our processes and very complimentary of our Emergency Department overall,” said Greg Taylor, MD, COO High Point Regional Health System. "High Point Regional Health System has a long standing track record of patient and staff safety that we take great pride in upholding. Therefore, we are pleased with the surveyors' findings that allowed for the immediate jeopardy status to be removed as of February 9. Patient care and safety is and always will be our number one priority."
