High Point Regional Fitness Center Wins Award
12/1/2006
The Fitness Center at High Point Regional Health System has been recognized by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) with the Distinguished Achievement Award, the organization’s highest recognition.
The award, in the classification for Centers less than 20,000 square feet, is based on parameters such as membership, utilization, diversity of programming, staffing, clinical services integration and impact on the community. Award winners serve as benchmarks for the industry and whose results others can emulate.
The Fitness Center at High Point Regional has been open since 2001 when the Heart Center section of the health system was constructed. It serves membership from the general public as well as persons who have been patients at the hospital.
