High Point Regional Chosen Family Friendly – Again

High Point Regional Health System has again been chosen as one of the state’s Family Friendly Forty companies by Carolina Parenting, Inc. publisher of Piedmont Parent magazine.

Forty companies are honored each year, compiled from nominations received from working parents and human resource personnel. “Companies are highlighted for their readiness to listen and respond to the needs of employees who are parents as they strive to balance work and family,” according to the publisher.

Part of High Point Regional’s nomination included a testimonial from Lisa Duncan, RN, who has used the health system’s on-site employee day care center since her daughter was born three years ago. Nurses are a large percentage of the hospital’s staff, and the nurse vacancy rate is lower than average for both the state and the U.S.
