High Point Medical Center Celebrates Award Winning Cardiology Teams
Today High Point Medical Center celebrates our award winning cardiology teams in recognition of our Mission: Lifeline Gold Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and our ranking as a Top Hospital for Heart Surgery in the August 2014 edition of Consumer Reports.
Presenters include: representative from American Heart Association, High Point Medical Center president and CEO Ernie Bovio, cardiologist Zan Tyson, MD, and cardiothoracic surgeon Stephen Mills, MD.
The Mission: Lifeline award recognizes High Point Medical Center's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients that effectively improves the survival and care of STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) patients. This is the third consecutive year the American Heart Association has recognized High Point Medical Center with this prestigious designation.
High Point Medical Center has been ranked as one of the top scoring hospitals for heart surgery in North Carolina according to Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports rated more than 4,000 hospitals in 45 states on heart surgery in a report to be released in the August 2014 issue. Only 11 hospitals in North Carolina received rankings.
