Free Clinic Discusses Congestive Heart Failure

WHAT:
As part of a monthly educational series, “Medical Matters,†the Fitness Center at High Point Regional Health System will discuss congestive heart failure. Why is this topic so important?
Heart failure affects nearly five million Americans. In fact, it’s estimated 400,000 to 700,000 new cases of heart failure are diagnosed each year. Startling, the number of deaths in the U.S. from this condition has more than doubled since 1979, averaging 250,000 annually.
Cynthia Ferguson, RN (FNP) with the Heart Function Clinic will provide information concerning congestive heart failure including: signs, symptoms and ways to manage this deadly disease.
