High Point Regional Endowment Funds Awarded
The Endowment Fund of High Point Regional Health System has awarded $694,960 to a total of eleven health-based programs, including eight that are new awards since last year.
“High Point Regional Health System is fortunate to serve a community which responds so generously to protect healthcare services through their gifts to the Endowment Fund. The fund creates a healthcare safety net for High Point and for this region,” according to Jeffrey S. Miller, President.
New recipients for the Endowment funds include the Oncology Support Program at High
Point Regional, the Learn for Life program through the High Point Regional Stroke Center, the Heart Center Dietitian/Nutritionist, and the HPRHS Pediatric Rehab Case Management program.
Also receiving funds are the Think First Prevention Program jointly operated by Johnson Neurological, High Point Regional, and the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina. Other newly funded programs are three that are operated through the Women’s Center at High Point Regional, the Mother Baby After Care Clinic, Mommy and Me, and the Level II Nursery.
Returning programs from last year’s funded groups are the Millis Regional Health Education Center, the Community Clinic of High Point, and the Guilford School Health Alliance.
The Endowment Board at High Point Regional has awarded $3,616,177 to health related programs since its inception in 1997.
